Understanding Your Responsibility To Maintain Tire Pressure

You have a duty to maintain tire pressure on your vehicle at all times. Low tire pressure can put yourself and other motorists at risk. This is because many vehicles experience longer braking distances when they are riding around on tires that are below the recommended tire pressure. Unfortunately, it happens all the time.

Those who worry that they may over inflate their tires need not fret as much. Most modern tires can withstand being over inflated within reason. You shouldn't make it a habit of course, but if this occurs from time to time for you, it is not the end of the world.

Pay attention to your tire pressure levels and bring your vehicle in for an inspection if you have any concerns at all that it is falling below regular standards of care. You may have a valid reason to bring it in and get it checked out.
